            the first Jewish colonists in 1733, to the present. You will be introduced
            to the uniqueness of this southern Jewish community. Blended with
            Savannah's beauty, history and charm, each tour will be personalized to
            fit your time schedule and interests.

Savannah is proud of its multi-ethnic diversity, and
is evident throughout the city by the many beautiful
churches, each with outstanding architecture and history. As an example, pictured on the left, is the Lutheran Church of the Ascension, founded in 1741. A monument, shown at right, of Reverend John Wesley who preached in Savannah in the 1700's.


                   

 

 


 

African-Americans have played a significant role in the history of Savannah. The legacy is seen throughout the city.
